.......Is it REALLY that long since I last posted?........
Gosh, I'm not doing so well on the old blogging front these days.
Life is hectic......manic.......tiring......and a tad stressful at the moment.
I have realised a few things this last month.......
1. I DO NOT like bloggers new interface. It's Pants and it really doesn't make me want to be on it. The proof of that being that I think I've logged into blogger only twice in four weeks.
2. Even though I have been walking everywhere for the last 6 months, I still kept my car. The husband used it. I realised I was much more attached to my car than I ever thought I was, and quite distraught that a rubbish Garage basically butchered it. I find myself doing a 'Phoebe' and having little conversations and hugs with it telling it how sorry I am they made it more poorly. It's not grand and it's old, but it was my faithful friend who stuck by me in all weathers and I feel sad, like I've really let a good friend down.
3. There is such a thing as too much crochet, and my fingers are telling me so.
4. Eating Krispy Kreme donuts will not make the 'muffin top' any less.
5. Washing Machines are fine when they work, but a complete pain in the backside when they don't.
6. I need to cut my caffeine intake
7. My hair will never be manageable
8. I like yellow a lot now.
9. Hot water bottles really do ROCK
10. I have a cup obsession.

So...there you go.
Is the third blanket done?
NO
Do I keep getting distracted?
YES
❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀❀
The pictures are just a bit of what I have been up to these past few weeks.
I have been crocheting, sewing, eating, walking, drinking, lounging, collecting, sorting.....and finding amongst other things.
It's been 'all go', and the rest of the month is set to be really rather manic too. So, I shall bob my head in as and when I can. Instagram seems to be the faster and easier option for me to keep up to date with my daily exploits. I can post on the go then. For those of you who do not have it, or want to join it, you can still see my pictures by clicking the 'Instagram' button on my side bar and it will link to my pictures.
Right, so much to do and so little time.
Thank you for your continued support. I know I have been a bit of a pants blogger these past few months, but hopefully, I can get my act together soon! ha ha!
Also, If I haven't replied to a question you may have asked......i'm so sorry. My inbox is a mess and I am REALLY REALLY behind. Please don't think i'm ignoring you!
Have a beautiful day all

As a complete newby to crochet I absolutely love your scarves and blankets. I am so intrigued by those in your heading. They look fantastic and definitely not for some as inexperienced as me but I can admire yours. Lovely photos. Hang on in there. Philippa x

I don't think you should feel pressured about blogging, there is a whole lot of life to be lived and it gets pretty crazy at times for all of us. I am just glad to get a glimpse of what you are upto now and then. Sometimes I blog like crazy then sometimes I don't blog for ages. It's just the eb and flow ot real life. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteBless you i am the same i haven't been able to blog for a while either but will be back when things settle down. I haven't commented on any blogs for ages either and i just came on and yours was the first one i saw so much beautiful colour today your photo's are gorgeous. I hope you are able to get your car better again. And to much crochet NEVER ;-))have fun, dee x
ReplyDeleteAlways love your posts, your pictures, the collages you make, the colourful crochet projects. I wish I had more time to crochet. I really just want to crochet a little pumpkin to join the little one I already crocheted a while ago but there doesn't seem to be time for even that little crochety job. Hectic is the word, and then when I do have a minute, I just grab my camera and put some pieces of the garden on photo, oh well...
ReplyDeleteBye,
Marian
Hi, I just stumbled upon your blog today (i followed a link from another blog)
ReplyDeleteAnd i felt compelled to comment for two reasons, firstly to tell you that your pitures are simply divine and secondly that we both have the same profile pic - i'm a new blogger and i just typed 'vintage rose' into google images ad chose the first image on there (did you do the same?) I'm guessing you've been around longer than i have (your blog i mean) so i may change my pic- we all want to be unique don't we?

It's true, time goes by so fast! I've solled my car a few months ago, so I recognise your feeling about that. You didn't know what you get until it's gone. Love your pictures! Hope you find the time to post again soon, I'm looking forward to it! :-)

p.s. Sorry for my bad English..
Ooooh lovely lovely lovely! I've popped by to look at your drops designs wrist warmers because I can't understand the diagram and I find a new post and a new header to feast my eyes upon. Darn you girl! I should be crocheting and here I am all dreamy eyed. Ha!
ReplyDeleteCarve out bit of peace in your hectic schedule. Maybe give your fingers a rest by painting another stool rather than crocheting. That way I can steal your first one. Cackling!!!

I wish so badly we could walk anywhere! We have to get in the car to even go to a park in our neighborhood...I am so jealous! :) Everything is just too far...
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so fun to stare at! I could lose myself in them! You sure have been busy! In such a beautiful way!!!!

Now I'm back at work I find it so difficult to blog as I used.....I don't know if you feel the same but I find it very frustrating that I cannot do what I enjoy.....enjoying oneself is so liberating and is a detox for stress. I have to fight to find time to sit down and do my crochet. I musn't complain though because I do have work and others here in Spain are finding it so very difficult.
ReplyDeleteYour photo mosaics are really lovely and I can never resist popping mosaics like yours they are delightful!
keep well
Amanda :-)
Don't beat yourself up about not posting regularly, we still love you! We love reading your posts and looking at your wonderful photos. Sometimes it can be had to motivate yourself to do something which seems more like a chore than a joy. Give it time, you will get your blogging mojo back. We are new to blogging and so admire your blog.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky to be able to walk everywhere, it would probably take me a hour to walk to our nearest village. Unfortunately a car is a bit necessity here although I keep asking for a bike as a present, I am still waiting, I might have to give it as a present to myself! ;)

I really love the scarf you're wearing in the first set of photos, third row down, 10th photo. Do you have a pattern for that? I didn't see it in your Ravelry. I would love to make a scarf like that. I just discovered your blog and I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeletehello beautiful, I've been so pants at updating my blog, good to see you have too! hehhe x
ReplyDeleteOne great thing though about not having a car is it forces you to walk more. I think that people are spoiled with their cars and don't get enough exercise. We need to be more caring to the environment.
