Cosy is one of my favourite words in the English language.....I don't think there's a real equivalent in my native Spanish....it is such a short word yet it encapsulates so much meaning and feelings.... The weather has been so pants in London recently that I've had to light up the candles and fairy lights to make the house cosy and snug also, even during the day time.....I do that a lot during the Autumn and Winter and I love it but it does feel a bit odd in June, doesn't it? I hope you have a lovely week, Vanessa, Pati x
You are so right! For such a short word it really is very descriptive. It's weird too to have candles on at this time of year. I think it's the first time I've ever done it. I woke early and put all the lamps on and candles on......and with the greyness outside it felt really cosy like autumn. Weird......but cosy!!!!!!!!! X
Thank you for sharing these cosy images, and also for the fresh outdoorsy Wisley views in the previous post. Having the contrast, post to post, gives us a delightful surprise.
Cozy is always my objective and I love yours....same elements. If it's gray out or gloomy, I pull the cafe curtains closed on the bottom, light candles and little lamps around the house and have something warm and soothing to drink. I also like to bake, read, and do handwork on those types of days. Enjoy!
Have you smelled the vanilla and fig candle in that same line? It's my favorite! You have me wanting to fix myself a cup of tea this morning to jump start my day!
