I'm sat trying to crochet the edge of my blanket.
Yippeeeeeeee....woohooo......nearly finished.
I looked up and this was my little view.
What a bright and happy little view.
I wish I could snap shut my eyes and a picture is taken, but instead I had my trusty camera to record such a bright little happy memory.
After several days of grotty weather and torrential downpours, today is sunny and really rather lovely.
I'll just carry on, with my bright little view.....and maybe...just maybe.....I'll have a finished blanket by the end of the day.....

Very pretty view indeed!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad the sun is shining today and the sky is blue.
The washing is out and there's nothing to spoil the view.
(It's National Poetry day. Well, you have to start somewhere don't you?!)
Ha ha I LOVE it!!!!!!! : )
DeleteHere's hoping you get done what you want to achieve, the sun always makes you feel better.
ReplyDeleteI find that having to schlep off to get the camera somehow ruins the magic of the moment. Oh, gee. That sounds like an ad for Viagra!
ReplyDeleteMaureen I'm laughing!!!!!! I sat in that spot for a long time and I didn't get sick of looking up every once in a while from my crochet to get a dose of brightness. I love to capture moments like these as I know they will fade from my memory, and colour and form play such a huge role in making me feel all is okay with the world.
DeleteCan you be anything that happy with that view?!!!! Lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we will get to see that new blanket soon.......I just made the last grannysquare for a scarf....but....as usual when it comes to whatever Im doing I need too get more yarn to saw or crochet the squares together and maybe it would need some edging....I have to see what it looks like. Already thinking of making another scraf......just need to decide what model and what colours.:)
Hope you have a lovely day!/ Jeanette :)
I'm hoping the blanket will be finished today. I was hoping it would be finished last night until I realised I had made a mistake and was one stitch off per square on one side so I had to rip it all back and re-do it! No biggie though as I love working on this blanket so much. Hopefully I will have a post up about it at the beginning of next week.
DeleteHow exciting it will be to have a finished blanket at the end of the day! That is a real treat isn't it. Then if the, say it very quietly!, rain comes back you can look forward to new blanket snuggling time!!! xx
ReplyDeleteNice view..I like it a lot! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty it's been lovely here today too

Ooooh, those lovely colours...really pop out :) xxx
ReplyDeleteIt is a great pleasure to quickly look up from some project you've been focusing on, and have a beautiful view greet your eyes. Particularly after some grey and rainy weather. Today's one of those splendid NYC autumn days...but clouds are rolling in tonight. Umbrella required tomorrow. After being outdoors quite a bit today, I think there's going to be lots of knitting tomorrow, with a little reading on the side.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs, as always, appear in this post. xo
We have had some beautiful weather in September here, but the first part of this week was awful! The sun is shining today so I plan to make the most of it! Cosy knitting and book reading is just so prefect for less than perfect weather!
DeleteAhh, bright and lovely! Cheerful, indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteDoes it make me odd that I would love to live in your house? Lol! In my mind it would be like living in a Cath Kidston shop, surrounded by beautiful things and colour galore! I try so hard to get my house to be a haven for us as a family, but unfortunate circumstances mean that time and energy is too short to make time for anything other than necessities, so thank you for such a beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteHa ha Emma! Seriously, these are teeny snippets that keep me sane! I live in a house full of boys, so BELIEVE me, it's no show home, and there are plenty of corners I would never dream of taking snaps of! The Bears have got used to living in a more feminine state shall we say, and they actually like the femininity believe it or not (which is just as well!). Currently I have a trashed kitchen from last nights dinner and this mornings breakfast. I don't even want to think about the piles of laundry overflowing from the laundry baskets....and please don't look too closely at my coving, as the sight of cobwebs would make you shudder! x
DeleteThat really is a pretty view... and what is a girl to do during wool week other than crochet? Look forward to seeing the finished blanket!
ReplyDeleteA lovely view indeed! Enjoy...as we do. ; )) Can't wait to see the finished blanket!
ReplyDeleteMe gusta muchísimo lo que haces y tus fotos son preciosas. Un saludo desde España
