Sorting............

Today has been....................china sorting day!

Yipppeeeeeee

Little things to keep me happy. It takes my mind off the constant mess comprising of empty plates of food and cups just left everywhere, crayons and paper lying about all over tables and floors, lego (down sofas, in yarn bags, in cutlery drawers and in my bed to name but a few), mega blocks, cars, nerf blasters, chalk sticks and water pistols. I tell you, if I step on one more piece of lego.....................

So once again, I need the balance of sorting pretties to keep me sane in a male environment.

The holidays are almost over, and whilst I have actually enjoyed them, getting back into a routine and having the house clear and quiet for a little bit each day will be bliss!

  2. Oh Amen!! I am really looking forward to my boys going back to school, although my youngest is starting school and I'm going to really miss him, but like you said, not the mess everywhere, I'm starting to detest Lego!!

  3. totally agree vanessa!! x i have given up on the lounge its a place where everything is fighting in a tide of mess!...even noticed an old cocktail sausage in my crochet blanket when i tidied up the sofa! and the marble building blocks are driving me mad!!!!...ive hurt my feet so many times!...ive loved having time , quality time with my daughter but i do think a routine helps me organise my life and mind! and makes me a less stressy mum at the end of a school day when they've had space and ive had space! ;0)x

  5. Oh bugger me! I have that Meatloaf song playing in my mind now:

"You took the words right out of my mouth, oh it musta been while I was... screaming in pain whilst hopping about on one foot having trodden on a tiny metal arsing CAR!!!!!!!!"

Just popped on to reply to your email from yesterday...and the baby has started bawling. No doubt he is wedged in the corner of his cot. Poor mite.

    'Pereety' china my lover.

    back later..

  7. No more Lego's around here... but there are still plenty of Playmobiles and cars and crawling over the furniture and Playstation games and dishes (not half as pretty as yours though!) left all over...
2 more weeks before school starts over here... sigh...

  8. Mine are already back at school and whilst I was nostalgic for those summer holidays (two months LONG here in France) I must confess I am glad the reassuring routine has returned allowing me more space for linear thinking now I'm spending my days with just one child ... and yes, no more excrutiating lego under my feet!

I am hosting a giveaway at the moment and would love you to have a chance to win...

  11. Were my china to be that pretty sorting it would be a task I would actively seek. And that's without the excuse of lego bricks et. al. My lot are far too old for lego but do discarded mascara brushes and man size roller blades count as a good excuse for finding some pretties to sort?

  18. Lovely colours!
Believe me having two girls is just as mad, but the toys were pinker and more glittery! Even now they are both teenagers my house is smothered in hair clips, lip glosses, handbags and chocolate wrappers!

  19. Gorgeous!!! I hope once you've sorted all your stunning china that you had time to sit down and have a cuppa. I'm with you on the lego thing - I used to go out of my way to pick up all the wee bits lying around the house but now I aim for them with the vacuum cleaner. What a horrible mum I am!!! Have a fab weekend hon. Leah xx
