.....starting off the summer hols with a great big fat cold. It's a bit pants when, weather wise, we have gone from one extreme to the other.
It's hot, I cannot breathe, my eyes are streaming, and I have a mass amount of crochet begging me to get finished.
Grrrrrrrr.
No matter. I will try and keep positive. Lots of iced drinks and tissues to hand........I will get through the mountain of washing. I will not shout when I step on a really sharp piece of lego for the 100th time. I will enjoy the clear blue skies........and I will get to the finish line with my crafty little projects.
Nearly there my friends......nearly there..........

Are you sure that it is a cold and not some kind of pollen allergy? Whatever it is I hope it goes very quickly.

ReplyDeleteOh no, poor you! Hope you start feeling better real soon.

Hope you're feeling better soon! Having those bowls would certainly cheer me up :)
ReplyDeleteHope you feel btter soon chickpea. It is even worse being bunged up when it is boiling hot. I hope you get a moment to yourself at some point and a quiet moment in the sun.
ReplyDeleteI also struggle not to shout when stepping on the sharp cornered toys.
I love your bowls, such lovely colours.

ReplyDeleteOooh, it is just too bad about the cold. Hope you´ll be right as rain soon enough (without it actually raining... hihii). Isn´t it just lovely with the blue skies (we have certainly had our share of the rain this summer). Hope you get to enjoy the sun!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Vanessa, beautiful bowl eye candy, xxx
ReplyDeleteYour bowls are beautiful ....hope your feeling tops soon!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel more chipper soon....maybe worth taking an antihistamine, it such an unusual year that I bet even people who don't suffer with allergies may find a new spore or pollen affects them....just a thought, in the meantime, get your boys to do all the jobs for you!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you're poorly.Somehow it's much worse being ill at this time of year.Hope the sunshine has cheered you up a little bit.Your lovely bowls have brightened my day! If you're stuck in,at least they'll be lots to see on the TV! :0)

P.S. Hope you are feeling better. ;)
Oh I hope your cold improves. We've waited too long for the sun to arrive, you don't want to miss it. Double doses of vitamin c and sunshine - thats my prescription for you!!
ReplyDeleteHow tedious there is nothing worse than a summer cold. Lots of orange juice and sunbathing at short intervals works wonders.
ReplyDeleteHope you get better very soon :-)
Amanda :-)

Having a cold and treading on lego that's just pants! Hope you feel better soon and that the sun stays shining so you can enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's pants indeed. My first week hasn't been great as I've had plans cancelled; but I think that summer colds are horrid so you've won on the 'most rubbish start to the hols'.
ReplyDeleteWatch out for the lego!
Better soon.x
Get well soon!
ReplyDeletePoor lass, I was the same, last week I had the flue, THE FLU. . . in JULY!! Craziness. I hope you soon feel better though, lots of fluids and lemon and honey:) Netflix was also my saviour!
ReplyDeleteJess x
Hope you feel better soon
ReplyDeleteDon't forget, Doll, the craft is a hobby. It doesn't matter if you don't finish those projects for a while. Even if they are gifts. Just buy something thoughtful instead and finish the projects in time for next year. I've had to have a word with myself about this lately. I was getting stressed that I wasn't achieving much. That I hadn't done a blog post, that my ironing pile is huge.... Does any of it really truly matter? Not really.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Hope the cold does one pronto!
