...that I should be distracted with something else...
....but how could I not be when such sparkly yarn just fell into my lap?
Simply delicious.
Perfect to team with a Christmas outfit.
Well......that was my reasoning anyway.
I loved the shade of grey
I loved the simple little sparkle
I loved the shade of pink on the wrapper.....
.......actually, it was the shade of pink with the grey that sold it to me. I just love ballet pink with soft grey. I have a skirt I ADORE in that shade.
A grey sparkly skinny scarf would just be completely perfect with it.
Here I go again then....i'll meet you on the other side......

yap! you are right!!!!! ;oD

Dear Vanessa,
ReplyDeleteWe are clearly on the same wavelength; it must be that time of year! I've just posted about my latest obssession: sparkly linen, and very, very pretty it is too. Also I'm very partial to grey at the moment. I'm going to check this yarn out since you so obligingly shared a picture of the yarn's name.
Happy sunday to you,
Stephanie
Very pretty ! I don't need any distractions however :) I also like pink and brown x
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree with you more !
Love grey, love pink, love sparkles ♥
Have fun,
Kate x
Oooo, of course you stop everything for soft pink and grey with sparkles! Oh my, it is very lovely indeed, and just imagine how much jollier you'll feel while making Christmas gifts with that pretty scarf wrapped around your neck! :-) Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteyou might be the only person who actually makes me feel better about the amount of self indulgent crochet I do.
ReplyDeleteThank you

With a grey that beautiful you certainly had no choice but to get started with it.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Meredith
It would be impossible not to be distracted by that lovely grey sparkly yarn! Look forward to seeing the finished scarf soon??

Looks gorgeous, how could you resist!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be such a pretty scarf. I love sparkly yarn too; it always reminds me of a kit I had as a child, where you could "knit" Barbie doll clothes with one of those little spool things. It basically made long tubes of various widths. :) It had black, white and neon pink yarn, all of it sparkly.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for grey too... Grey with sparkles even better!
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you couldn't resist Vanessa. I love your sparkly yarn and I expect you will positively whiz through this project.
ReplyDeleteHave fun

Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been looking for a sparkly yarn for the past week and nothing I had seen at my local yarn shop was what I was looking for. This yarn is perfect though! I literally gasped in excitement when I saw your post come up on my feed lol:) Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI've just made some sparkly hearts to make an advent garland. Definitely the sparkly yarn season! :) x

ReplyDeleteI stopped by to share my hot water bottle finish with you. I made it as a gift with a little twist using your tutorial. Hope you will stop over and take a peek. Thanks for the tutorial!

hello beautiful, loving all your photos, missing you, Becca xxx
ReplyDeleteGrey and ballet pink - you are so right! Absolutely beautiful! E x
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd say quickly how much I enjoy your blog, and your photography, and your colour choices especially (that post about the blanket with the orange sent me off into such a tailspin of a love-affair with pink and orange that I'm still lost!). I'm so glad that you decided to continue blogging!
ReplyDeleteUtter madness or not....if it makes you happy to both make it then wear it, why question it?! Go with the happy-feeling and shed the guilt!!!
ReplyDeletePretty please might you share the pattern source? I have a similar need for a skinny scarf in a beautiful sea blue/green aqua colour but haven't been able to find a good enough pattern....this looks perfect and sooo pretty.
Much love

ps your blog goes from strength to strength, such a pleasure to visit xxxxx
oh how very very pretty...I would be sold too...pretty packaging always gets me in the end. xoxoxo hug
ReplyDeleteBut it's just perfection. I always shy away from buying yard without a specific purpose in mind for it. I'm thinking I need to get over that?
ReplyDeleteOh, I understand your distraction! So pretty...
ReplyDeleteplease could you point us in the direction of this pattern? it's just what I am looking for and you have such a good eye for a wearable pattern.
ReplyDeletethanks
