The sun is shining.....ahhhhhhh so uplifting.
Such a gorgeous walk to school and back.
But I am excited.
I rushed back up my little hill. I have emptied my bag full of groceries, and I have made myself a coffee. I feel all fluttery in my tum. I am trying to slow myself down a little.
Why am I excited?
I am excited because I finished my blanket yesterday.
Boy I love it.
It's bright and fun and perfect for the summer. I haven't made anything really bright for a while, they seem to have all been more muted or vintage in tone......so this one has been an AbSoLuTe JOY to make.
I am desperate to take photos of it in all its glory.
But it's so sunny.......and i've just made plans to go out.
So....coffee slurped and photographing will wait a little longer....
...but the excitement is still there.

You are such a tease. I'll be waiting! I revealed a pretty pink heart doily I think you'd like. :)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it in all its glory. Glad the sun is still shining in Hampshire. We're in Wales in warm drizzle! LLoooverrrrrly!!! Best sort of weather to seek out patchwork and quilting shops though - definitely choosing-fabric-weather! Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful blanket -- or afghan, as my Gram and Great Aunt would call it. They used this same pattern of zig-zag. We have various afghans that they made us through the years, some to match color schemes, others more random. Certainly none as beautiful as this one of yours... I don't think they had the beautiful color options that you see today... Yours looks like a delicious Summer Sorbet! Bet you can't wait for a chilly night to wrap up in it!
ReplyDeleteStopping by via the blogroll on Lemon Lane Cottage. I'm off to look around on your blog a little more. Enjoy this day. ~Sally
It looks like a good one! I'll look forward to seeing it. I'm still undecided as to whether to make a ripple or something with squares. It probably won't be started until autumn when my urge to create warm and woolly things kicks in. I'm so in love with that ripple you used to have in your header photo. But mine will be for a boy, so it wouldn't be nearly so pretty. I hope you have a good week, CJ xx
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the piccys,
