.......is the first day it has felt really Autumny to me.
I walked through crunchy leaves on the way to school.
I wore a slightly heavier scarf.
The air felt like it had really changed.
More conkers collected.
Spiced pumkin soup for lunch.
I am making the leap now into the next season.
Whilst I have enjoyed these couple of weeks of balmy weather, I am relishing stew, and bonfires, and the smell of fresh damp air.
I am ready.....

ReplyDeleteHi, I am with you on that, I love Autumn, log fires, frost that makes everything sparkle!, I have been having soup this week, it just feels so comforting.x
ReplyDeleteLove the way you write, autumn is just the best x
ReplyDeleteYES! I dusted off the slow cooker today and have Sausage casserole cooking away at the moment. x
ReplyDeleteI'm still dealing with the transition, lol...I think we have similar climates (I am in upstate NY) and summer is just a bit to short for my taste...but time keeps a rolling so I guess it's best to accept and embrace :). Your soup looks delish!
ReplyDeleteihre suppe sieht sehr lecker aus und schmeckt aus der hübschen green gate-schale bestimmt doppelt gut!!! liebe grüße von angie aus deutschland
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, fall is here. The days are warm, but the evenings are pretty cool here. And the soup sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI confess I love autumn. I just enjoy walking around in cooler weather, leaves falling, wind on my face. Though I am not fond of riding my bike in all that wind.. It is however time to drink lots and lots of tea , and that I enjoy:)
ReplyDeleteI'm ready too. Well, almost. I am enjoying these sunny days at the moment, but I know there won't be many left, and that's fine too. I have squashes waiting to be turned into soup, and I'm knitting a scarf.
ReplyDeleteI am ready for fall too. I love the crisp weather. Blessings, Catherine
