Today.......

.......is the first day it has felt really Autumny to me.

I walked through crunchy leaves on the way to school.

I wore a slightly heavier scarf.

The air felt like it had really changed.

More conkers collected.

Spiced pumkin soup for lunch.

I am making the leap now into the next season.

Whilst I have enjoyed these couple of weeks of balmy weather, I am relishing stew, and bonfires, and the smell of fresh damp air.

I am ready.....

  7. I'm still dealing with the transition, lol...I think we have similar climates (I am in upstate NY) and summer is just a bit to short for my taste...but time keeps a rolling so I guess it's best to accept and embrace :). Your soup looks delish!

  9. Oh, yes, fall is here. The days are warm, but the evenings are pretty cool here. And the soup sounds wonderful.

  10. I confess I love autumn. I just enjoy walking around in cooler weather, leaves falling, wind on my face. Though I am not fond of riding my bike in all that wind.. It is however time to drink lots and lots of tea , and that I enjoy:)

  11. I'm ready too. Well, almost. I am enjoying these sunny days at the moment, but I know there won't be many left, and that's fine too. I have squashes waiting to be turned into soup, and I'm knitting a scarf.
