Busy, Busy, Busy..............

❀❀❀❀❀❀

....is how this week has been. Wowzer, it has flown straight by me....on skates.

The weekend I fear will be even busier. Ah well.....no rest for the wicked and all that.......

I noticed my stash of Tunnock's was looking depleted this week. I thought I had found the one thing that the Bears didn't like. For Mr H, it's Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. The boys DETEST Peanut Butter, so they can well and truly remain his! For me, it was Tunnock's. Fab with a really hot brew. They were all mine......'til the lure of the gorgeous retro wrappers got to the Bears and they were so desperate to try one. So, for good behaviour, I gave in.

Arrrggghhhh Why did I do that?!!!!!!!

Ah well, still a few left and I can enjoy them once in a while if I've had a healthy week.

So, just a short little post today to say a few random things......

❀❀❀❀❀

Hello to any new readers here in my little patch. Nice to meet you! Thank you for popping by (and saying hello if you did!). I always have this hope of being able to catch up with everybody, but time just always seems to be tapping me on the shoulder and telling me I should be doing something else. Never enough hours and all that......

❀❀❀❀❀

I know that some of you are still having trouble leaving comments. It seems however I put my comments layout, it affects someone. So, apologies for that. If you want to contact me and cannot do it on a comment, you can always email me directly (my email link is on my profile page), or contact me through Ravelry or Flickr (buttons are on the side bar and I am stripey-mooka on Ravelry).

❀❀❀❀❀

I am also finding that many blog posts aren't coming up on my blogroll, and I seem to be missing a lot. So, if I seem quiet, that's why. When I get a big bunch of time together, i'll sit down and have a good old looksie.

❀❀❀❀❀

I have found it hard in the past to get organised enough to get a better emailing system going. I get so many emails daily that sometimes, some get buried and I don't find them for days. Also, the odd question goes into my spam folder so it takes a while for me to get those. So if you don't hear from me for a while and you ask a question, don't lose hope......I will get there, it just takes a while!

❀❀❀❀❀

Right, busy, busy, bee.........so i'll say tootle pip.

Have a gorgeously super duper weekend all.........

xxx

  1. Hiya Vanessa - it seems like it's all whizzing over at yours. I do hope the weekend doesn't gobble you up.

I changed to Google Chrome - it that's any help though you may already have it, but it seems to have worked wonders and is a lot faster.

Well best go - lots to do.....as usual.

I just wanted to pop in and say hi - 'HI!'

  2. Am glad I'm not the only one who is finding that blogger is not loading posts from others onto their blogroll - I've missed several from my favourite bloggers that way.

I love Tunnocks teacakes - sadly so do MrVV & the boys. Have yet to find anything they don't like so I have to hide my favourite treats away :(

    Have a good weekend xx

  4. Blogger is being downright strange at the moment, and there is never a comment box on any posts I read - but if I refresh the page it seems to sort itself! Hope you manage to get a little time to relax over the weekend - love your cake stand by the way!! Jenny xx

  5. I love Tunnocks Teacakes but we only have the red ones here in Ireland, I have never seen blue ones! Great with a cup of tea, can never stop at just one!
    Have a lovely weekend

  6. I have been having problems with reading comments on blogs lately or posting comments and in a few cases pages freezing on actual blog posts. I couldn't see your comments for a few days. Blogger is always messing about it seems to me and when it does, it messes things up! Invariably they right themselves after a few days or so, so that tends to be my approach. Just wait and see. It's a huge pain though! All seems better at the moment though. Touch wood.

  9. We call them Winkie's from my dads youth - He ate a pack, claiming they had been winking at him to be eaten....
I think I have inherited the same problem....

  10. Maybe you will need to start hiding your snacks instead of displaying them so prettily!

  13. I'm using my iphone at the moment to store blog stff, then when I'm ready to blog and roll upload from there. I suppose there is nothing quite like sitting at your desk to blog.....however I'm finding the APP really good and as I take lots of pics on the phone I can upload them striaght to blogger. I too have a stash of Reeces cupcakes that my Son sent me over from the US. I've done a creative little pic for that too....watch this space! Have a lovely weekend x

  15. I don't think I have missed any posts of yours, but I haven't yet written back to thank you for taking the time to reply to the email I sent you. I haven't yet checked out your recommendation, but when my snotty children are back to their happy snotless selves I will give myself some time to look into it.

PS. NEVER offer your chocolates to anyone else, let alone children!!!!

  16. I have been having problems leaving comments on several blogs so I think it's a problem with Blogger in general. Tunnocks teacakes are fab but I prefer the Caramel Wafers - yum! Have a lovely weekend. x

  17. My Tunnocks teacakes never last long enough to photograph them, particularly the "hard-to-find" plain chocolate ones! I never let my children have nuts when they were small, so when they asked for something I didn't want them to have, I would tell them it had nuts in it! Unfortunately, they're wise to that now :)
    Have a great weekend. x x

I've had terrible trouble with my blogroll, I only just noticed your post on someones bloglist.

  24. I can't buy Tunnocks tea cakes as I would eat the whole box in one sitting. They are so scrummy. I have a friend who loves them too so I wait until she's coming before I buy them and then we can share so I don't feel quite so piggy!!! XX

  26. How funny, a box of Tunnocks found their way into my basket just the other day! I didn't have time to bake, and all the xmas chocolate had gone (that's my excuse anyway!) I do love the retro wrappers too and have acquired one of those fab tea towels with the design on. I have been looking at greengate thanks to your links.....mmm love the new summer things sooo much.
    Have a happy week.

  27. Hi Vanessa, I have never seen blue tunnocks before....what am I missing? When your header came up and I gazed at all that multi-coloured gorgeous handiwork I was amazed. You must feel very proud when you look at that? Have a busy, crafty week! Love Linda x

  28. Vanessa, I've just begun a blog and am anxious to hear about other folks problems with blogger - it does seem to be the one people have the most trouble with - oh dear, why did we choose this one! Have you on my 'favourites' since...welll, for ever; love your colours and posts. Hope this comment finds its way onto your page.

  33. Hi Vanessa, I'm wanting to get into my crocheting a bit more. Could you recommend a couple of books that you found really helpful when you first started, that have gorgeous pics and filled you with inspiration. I can crochet a granny square but that's about all! Thanks for your help Vanessa, your time and help is much appreciated. Em xxx
