Two Loves......

Two Loves

The Woman he loved, while he dreamed of her,
Danced on till the stars grew dim,
But alone with her heart, from the world apart,
Sat the woman who loved him.

The woman he worshipped only smiled
When he poured out his passionate love.
But the other somewhere, kissed her treasure so rare,
A book he had touched with his glove.

The woman he loved betrayed his trust,
And he wore the scars for life;
And he cared not, nor knew, that the other was true;
But no man called her his wife.

The woman he loved trod festal halls,
While they sang his funeral hymn,
But the sad bells tolled, ere the year was old,
For the woman who loved him.

  4. Beautiful. I've just finished an audio book which reflects that story of two loves - "Passionate Times" by Emma Blair.

  8. Oh yes the poem has left me with a lump in my throat but forget about that...what on earth is that heart made of? Mr C has just asked me why I am squinting with my head at an angle like a begging dog, muttering under my breath!!! Is it icing? Floating on hot chocolate? I know I should be waxing lyrical about the irony of love and how unfair it can be but I'm baffled by the heart!

    Talking hearts, I have a zinc tea light heart holder and I have been trying to take a pic in the low light. My camera either wont take the shot or it shows it all as too bright. Any idea where I can find the solution. Do you know of a decent website to explain this to a thickie like me?

    Also, how are you feeling now? Has half term arrived at the best or the worst time for you?
