Caring and Relaxing.......

Today, Baby Bear is home with me. A troubled night and a temperature.

Rest and cuddles.

In between sleeping, I am having the most wonderful play with yarn.

Wondering what to do with these beauties.

They look like a pretty flower.

It's like diving my hand into the clouds above.

My ripple blanket has had to make a stop for the time being. I have run out of a particular shade of yarn which I cannot remember who it was by. Typical. I need to search more....but in the meantime (and after taking a little break for my never increasing moss stitch piece) I found a pattern to excite me.

The perfect excuse today whilst lying with my Bear.

OH MY WORD I am LOVING it.

Loving it so much, I'm making two side by side.

Both yarns giving a different effect but loving both so much. I'm hoping that with the speed of this project (and my enthusiasm), I can get something finished by the weekend. I love feeling excited by a project.....so much so, you cannot think about eating and sleeping......just getting it finished.

More cuddles now and then to pick up the hook again......

I hope your little bear feels better soon. Nothing like a day or two at home with mum to chase those winter bugs away.

  11. What perfect timing - thank you so much for sharing your crochet projects, today. I'm doing battle - epic battle - with 2 beautiful lace weight yarns that I was unable to resist a few months ago. One of them has been tried in 3 different patterns - I need something that rolls along and despite the incredibly lightweight yarn, grows quickly. A good bit of treble work is what I need - I think I may have a go at something like yours - love the texture. Those colours - wow - absolutely beautiful. What are you going to do with the kidsilk mohairs? They're beautiful. I saw a shop in Warwick called CocoRose - thought of you!!! It sold dresses. Have fun with your crochet, knitting and painting.

  12. Hope the little fellow is better soon, but lots of cuddles on a rainy afternoon is lovely...that basket of yarn, gosh, I'd just leave it there for a while, it is a sublime and stunning still life...and what, pray tell, is exciting your hook so much that there are two of them? I cannot wait to see more! Chrissie x

  14. beautiful new pieces of work. I got some pink yarn that looks similar weight on eBay last year but as a learner have not found anything simple to make as yet that doesn't look too challenging!, looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with yours. hope little bear feels better today. betty

  15. I just gave ten cakes of mohair away :-0 Also thin, like yours. I had such grand plans fro a soft soft hug of a shawl, but it was just too difficult to work with for me! Back to plain, smooth cotton and wool then.

  22. That's a really nice pattern, are you making a shawl? I'm interested to see what you'll do with the mohair (is it mohair?) I've got some but not in such pretty colours but I don't know what to make with it. I keep thinking I might just give it away
