Feeling like i'm getting there with my kitchen.
The home stretch now.
(It didn't occur to me how CK that picture was when I took it)
Pretty flowers to put a smile on my face.
Very cheap and very cheerful (Mother's Day after sale!)
Pretty pastels....oh how I love thee...
I do like carnations. Many people don't give them a second look. They remind me of a boyfriend of mine, who cycled 10 miles with one to give to me. He said he liked them better than roses as they lasted forever....well almost. They are happy little flowers and make pretty little posies in a posy jar.
Finding the prettiest place mats, and at a price that made me gasp (with delight I might add).
Flowers, lace and cross stitch.
Loving my new whisk.
Whipping up a bit of ♥
Have a super week

LOVE the whisk! happy week to you. Jane x

Le tue immagino sono sempre speciali!!!
ReplyDeleteLove that whisk and such pretty placemats. I had some carnations in my mother's day flowers from my daughters last year, they had some little shoots on the side so I pulled them off and planted them in a pot and they rooted and grew! I'm hoping they'll flower for me again this year. Have a lovely week Vanessa, glad you're kitchen is nearly done.

Oh Vanessa your kitchen is looking lovely...I'm biased I have the same tiles in cream!! Carnations are one of my favourite flowers, they last for an age and really do smell gorgeous. Have a great week, Sarah xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous post Vanessa, I love it all! I adore carnations too. I love the bunches you can sometimes get with the little off shoots on them that can be torn off the main stem and grow roots in water. I have lots in my garden as a result. Have a lovely week.

It is true, carnations are really underrated, aren't they? and they do last forever.... Last year I had to construct a posie and crowns for my daughters to wear at a local traditional May festival and I chose carnations and not only did they look fantastic but also kept really well....
ReplyDeleteLoving the placemats by the way.... Pati x
I bought the same Cath Kidston jars after I saw them in your blog, but I've put them away so well to avoid their breaking that I can't find them :-(
ReplyDeleteLOVE the kitchen tiles, oh and that counter...that is one gorgeous photo! Can't wait to see more...and fantastic find with those placemats, lucky you! So pretty...Chrissie x
