Simple......

I was hoping to achieve so much.

Best laid plans and all.

When in doubt.....

pleasures to keep me buoyant.....

Cheese, biscuits and a good cup of tea. A treat. I do try to steer clear of cheese as I love it so much. A neccessity though at the moment. Hot tea is a must with it. HoT...

Yoghurt and fruit. Low fat, and lot's of fruit to counter balance all the cheese. I'm trying so hard to balance the good stuff with the not so good stuff!

Autumnal treats. The cooler days are coming, and this calls for snuggly stuff.

I do love snuggly stuff.

And quirky. Oh how I love quirky. You make me smile so.

The blanket sits and stares at me.
It cries to be finished.
Almost there.
I beg it to be patient.

Perhaps next week I might get my act together. The nights are cooler and it's begging to be used.

Until then.......

Have a lovely weekend all.....

  8. OH how I love the traditional plaid and its colors. Balance is hard to find. Keep on working on it. One step at the time. That diamond shaped blanket of yours will be fantastic. I'm sure it doesn't mind being patient. Happy weekend.

  10. I love cheese too. I was a vegan for 25 years, but I think I've eaten the missing 25 years' worth since I stopped being a vegan. I always love the colours here on your blog. All those soft blues and pinks and lots of white. Beautiful. It's a calming place to be. CJ xx

  12. I've read your blog for years and finally started my own little space on the internet, from my attic. Thank you for the inspiration, I would not be close to you in output but I still like the idea of my own place to share. http://attic25.blogspot.ie/

  13. Oh cheese is just so divine, but if it's cancelled out by lots of berries and fruit then it can't be bad can it? As always such lovely photos of your world. Looking forward to seeing your blanket finished. Beautiful colours.

  15. Ooh, snuggly :o)
I've so far this year made a blanket for a 30th birthday, 40th and 50th, and will probably end up making one for my Mother's 60th in Spring (yes, in ascending order too!) - and another blanket for a bereaved teenager who could do with a Woolly Cuddle from us.
All extremely satisfying, but I am BuRsTiNg to make a blanket for ME! It's been about three years since I started crocheting and since then although I've barely stopped crocheting I've not made anything for myself bigger than a pair of mitts :op

    Enjoy your snugglies :o)

  16. Whoah, what a tempting yarn basket, mmm... And I love that crochet hook next to it too! Looks like a dream to work with... Oh, the snuggliness of your pictures, it warms my heart on this wet autumn day. Thanks so much for sharing!
    Have a great rest-of-the-week! xhaafner

  17. Hello flower! Your blanket is looking gorgeous (I'm selectively choosing not to see those ends) and I love the way you seem to have joined the diamonds. If ever you need someone to share your cheese with … ;-) Hope all is well. xxx PS. Just bought a bottle of Vitamin E oil based on your recommendation - I'll keep you posted!

  18. The cloth on the table with the cross stitch roses is just beautiful. I love it. I would love to make a crochet spread like that burt I do know I don't have the patience. I did it once many years ago.............not sure I could ever do it again but it would be worth it. Hmmmmm. I have the yarn. Anyway, love that post and the blog. Janice
